H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a private, not-for-profit organization, is the only National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center in Florida. Its sole mission is to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. The Center has more than 2 million square feet dedicated to research and patient care, including a 206-bed hospital, a blood and marrow transplant unit, an outpatient clinic with a complete digital imaging center, a state-of-the-art radiation therapy department, infusion center, operating rooms, two research buildings, and a separate 50,000-square-foot outpatient center.

Moffitt is at the forefront of personalized medicine with its commitment to Total Cancer Care™ – a system that encompasses all aspects of cancer, including prevention, genetic predisposition, the impact of lifestyle and the uses of integrative medicine during treatment. The foundation of this approach is a study that enrolls patients from Moffitt and other cancer treatment sites in Florida and other states. The study is designed to advance cancer care by maintaining a repository of human tissue specimens and clinical data. This data will further the discovery of biomarkers that can be used to identify those at high risk, facilitate early detection, improve prognoses, allow drug targeting and toxicity predictions, and match individuals to the best treatment and to the right clinical trials. For more information call 1-888-MOFFITT or visit www.Moffitt.org.
